“He basically forced it out of me,” Kahtan said, rubbing the back of his neck. “He insisted it was for the good of Mazleah. I kinda regret the decision though.”

A tidbit for y'all!
Kahtan eased backward—this wasn’t his fight. He didn’t know what was going on. He couldn’t see. All excuses he gave himself for not jumping into the fight like Wixley had. His hand bumped into something, and he gasped, jerking away.
Poor Kahtan, or Tahn as he has been dubbed by the girls on our beta reading team.
