Read Block's afterward first. Fascinating how he and Donald Westlake wrote this and two other novels. Block wrote the first chapter and sent it to Westlake, who then wrote the second chapter and they continued alternating like that until they had a book. Never discussed plot or characters. Just built on what the other had written.
