Reading the first edition since that’s what I found in my local used bookstore. I could tell I’m in for a rough one as soon as I read the claim that “the history of Medieval art is the history of Christian art” (last I checked even in Europe that was just not the case… like I see where this is coming from but… no). Giving it a go anyway just for funsies
