culture was defined by people in the past with specific values they intended to promulgate - allowing algorithms to promote or drive selection of cultural artifacts creates a huge risk, both in errors in the algorithm itself, controls over those filters (ie AmazonFail) - or even conditioning, people to believe or except the superiority of the algorithms selections, priming them for fascism
