Thank God! They actually talk with each other about their feelings and stuff :-)

What did gentlemen do when they called upon each other? Would a banker wish to discuss the economy? Drink tea or port? Talk about the weather? Suck each other until they passed out?
Yes, please :-)

I like how these guys are so different and actually show character. I approve :-)
And a quote I liked. BTW, I don't think that will be at all possible, dear Nigel ;-)
Nigel Warren had been blown to pieces by his time with Jay and must now reassemble himself into a recognizable man.
Or what?
Or what, indeed...

It seems Nigel and Jay couldn't be more different :-)
Such folk might be alive with idealism and creativity, but living that way would be exhausting. He'd been away from London for two days, and he already missed his quiet, well-ordered home on Stark Lane, the scent of lavender and beeswax, the dark walls and polished floors, the quiet tick of the mantel clock, his supper laid out for him by Mrs. Cubbins.

This started out a bit disappointing for me, but picked up after the first chapter. I thought the visit to the establishment and the dance performance lacked enchantment and I wasn't feeling it.
This is a picture from the Moulin Rouge, 1900, and we were told that our establishment was near it, in a side street.
