As You Like It wasn’t my favorite comedy, it felt like it lacked unity. Although, it seemed to be a nice flip off to the puritans of the time.
Twelfth Night though… This one is pretty good. I feel like it parallels A Comedy of Errors, with much more humorous calamities.

I saved All’s Well that Ends Well as my last Comedy, and it feels like a massive F. I’ve loved so many of Shakespeare’s plays but this one feels like his worst work. The trope of an old mother anxious about a regrettable match isn’t fun to read, a woman who traps a man who couldn’t care less into an unloving marriage also a no. The biological clock ticking - I feel unjustifiably pressured. Shakespeare WHY?!

All’s Well that Ends Well feels like living through the first 17 sonnets 😒

Measure for Measure, my god what a play!
One Comedy left in my year of Shakespeare😦.
All’s Well That Ends Well, I’m coming for you!

Beatrice and Benedick’s subplot always steals the spotlight *sigh*. It’s a real Lizzy Bennet and Mr. Darcy type battle of the wits 💜

Yet again we find allusions to Marlowe’s The Shepherd to his Love, and Raleigh’s The Nymph’s Reply to the Shepherd. I can just imagine them all drunkenly gesticulating and spilling their ales as they sing this together in a tavern. Take me back in time and let me join them 🍻 Huffah!
