Alas, I'm not sure I can finish this book. I find the writing annoying and hate that Thomas is continually referred to as 'he' and it's hard to know who the 'he' is that's being referred to. It's dry and laborious - at least for me.

Oh dear, this book is like wading through knee deep mud! I'm trying hard to get wrapped up in the story, but it's a tedious read. I hate the authors use of 'he' for Thomas, I have to backtrack way too often to figure out which 'he' is being referred to - quite painful. I may have to give up, which I hate to do. I'm enjoying the mini series though - go figure.

Slow going - nothing seems to be happening - I need to take a break!
