Trust me to be found on the anniversary of the D-Day landings reading about the Bad Guys.
But Heydrich is endlessly fascinating, in a "how did the human species manage to produce this rotten specimen" sense. More interesting than hysteria-prone Adolf or dull Reichsheini.
Perhaps the achievement in Normandy is best understood when you know the calibre of the Bad Guy to defeat. "Judge by the quality of his enemies."

Marquise: Heydrich was not only the architect of the Final Solution, calling the meeting at Wansee, but the only man with enough authority in Germany to announce the Judeocide. Interestng fact: Most Czechs today feel his assassination was not worth the price they had to pay at Lidice.

True, though he's been appearing in some recent books & historical novels and that's made him more known. I gave my copy of Laurent Binet's HHhH to my sister, and she liked it so much she's been asking me for more on Heydrich.I've picked this book up mostly for that. :)
Glad to hear you circulate books, Marquise. Heydrich is featured in the brilliant German film THE WANSEE CONFERENCE and the good but not great Kenneth Branagh movie CONSPIRACY.
