Okay, just read a couple "romance" reviews by readers who are OBVIOUSLY not romance readers - LMAO!! One's comments on the sex in the novel was UNREAL! Has she been living under a rock for Pete's sake (no - has she actually HAD sex??)?!! The book was ... well, let's just say a pretty mediocre/middle-of-the-road steam level ... wanted to reach and out recommend Sally MacKenzie or something to her! HAHA!

Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* The "Cannon"??? LOL! I haven't read any Maya Banks, but I am most definitely a romance reader and I can gather what you mean. BTW, what book is the "Cannon" in? LOL

message 4: by Dina (new)

Dina The "Cannon" is a 12-inch long and 8-inch round, er, manroot, LOL! It's in Devil's Pact. I haven't read it, but I've heard all about it because the darn monster pops up (no pun intended) in every romance forum now and then. I don't know why those particular measurements have stuck in my mind... ;)

LMAO!!! Oh, Dina! *wipes tears* Thank you for remembering that measurement! "Cannon", indeed!

Hmm...Yeah, I think that non-romance reader will be screaming more than "UNREAL!" if she reads that. LOL

Lady Jayne *~*The Beach Bandida*~* Ah, looking at the cover of Devil's Pact by Samantha Cruise , I'm guessing the "Cannon" belongs to the giant on the cover? Or... don't tell me it belongs to the little guy?? *Gasp!*

Auntee There are no "little guys" in that book!:)

message 8: by Dina (new)

Dina I think it belongs to the giant, but I haven't read the book so who knows? ;)

I still remember the first time I read about the "Cannon". I had to get my measurement tape and see how such a thing would be like up close and personal, because my imagination wouldn't stretch that far. Oh. My. God! I almost died laughing.

message 9: by Auntee (new)

Auntee The guy with "the Cannon" is 6'9" and the other guy is huge too. The poor heroine is an itty bitty thing...

message 10: by Dina (new)

Dina 6'9"? That's huge, but I can't say he's proportional, LOL!

Aahahaha! Thanks for the clarification, Auntee.

6'9", eh? Isn't one of the BDB that tall? I'm glad that Ward just says how enormous their "big guys" are without providing actual measurements of length and girth. Like Dina, I can't wrap my head around (no pun intended) those "Cannon" measurements! LOL

Laura Oh goodness me! I am absolutely hyperventillating because I just put the kids to bed and am laughing but trying to be quiet about it!

Has anyone ever wondered the, ahem, mechanics of how that would work with a guy that huge (height and, er, cannon) with a tiny little chick?

Think Haydenne Panettiere (and she's in HEELS!)and her man:
