So far I'm liking that we have the first point of view of a guy as the main protagonist. It's a bit slow at first, certainly it's taking me a while to get into it completely. The past interactions with Cassel (hero) and his best friend and love of his life (who's dead) Lila, are really what holds my interest.... This guy loves being abused for sure.
