I understand a lot more now. Which is good. I've also learned that I'm not a very big fan of Ann Leckie's writing style. I get that One Esk (Breq) is a very stoic character, but Ann Leckie's writing feels very stoic to me as well. I don't like that she doesn't give many visual descriptions. I'm not a hater, but right now I'm feeling like this book is overrated.

More confusion. I don't know how much I like this :/. A few things are becoming clearer to me, but I don't get who's male or who's female at all. Seivarden is a stuck up prick though, I know that much.

Hm... The premise of this book is really interesting to me, and I think I'm getting a feel for some of the cultures that have been introduced so far. But as a whole, I have to say that I'm quite confused as to some of the things that are going on. I also don't like not knowing what the protagonist looks like as it makes it very hard for me to imagine what's going on. I hope this gets better.
