I'm enjoying this novelette - it's great so far. I would say that the audiobook version of it is a bit challenging for me. I like Marion Hussey's voice for Pearl Peabody, but it's a little too harsh (in my mind) for Hawker. It's like she's narrating through clenched teeth to make him sound gruff!
