Interesting so far, but definitely a more difficult read as it is academic.
Favorite thing learned so far is trees with angry ants (my paraphrasing) don’t need spiny leaves/branches to deter browsing giraffe.

I’m interested in looking into Catalano et al., 2005, which seems to have studied the phenomena of humans giving birth to proportionally more daughters after catastrophe (in this case, 9/11). As well as this might be linked to high levels of stress hormones??
Crazy.
