The beginning of this book was very interesting. But it's been hard to get through with this part...it seems like a good portion of the book. It just feels like it could have been a whole separate novel.

That chapter was unnecessarily long. I'm also starting to get the feeling that the main story is more romance then it is a fantasy tale. The fantasy part of this novel seems to be a side story for a couple of lovers destined to be together.

This last chapter felt predictable, and also, random that some guy we've never seen much of gets mentioned as trying to murder David and Aurora and we find out his names Artemis right off the bat, then he dies. What? Seems strange. I would have liked to hear about him before the situation occurred.

Not really digging the religious ideas of this, but I do enjoy the characters.
