From Chapter 15 -- For Sale: One Sesqui:

"For $111, 'a hot-tempered, high-spirited cinnamon bear' named Sonny was sold to Benjamin Satler, who lived on Ninth Street near Buttonwood in the Spring Garden district. Satler felt sure that his neighborhood of narrow row houses with small backyards would be the perfect habitat for a half-grown bear."
