Welcome to Discworld. It is a very hit or miss series. My personal favourites are the city watch and the witches ones 😊

Oh I have already read about 25 Discworld novels, give or take, including this one 😂 I have decide to read them all in publication order to fill in the gaps. Frankly I think Rincewind is the worst part of Discoworld.

I've always read them in publication order but after struggling with the Wee free man I decided to, in the future, just focus on the sagas I like

Oh, I surprised you didn't like The Wee Free Men! I think most people generally like that one, I did. But it is also considered to be YA. I think my fav is the City Watch books, and Guards! Guards! Is where I started. Frankly if I had started with The Color of Magic, I probably wouldn't have read more.

Guards! Guards! It's great. I always think about it as if Monty Python were writing CSI Miami or one of those cheesy police shows
