rereading this rn coz i read it the day before exams and i want to enjoy it without the ✨pre-exam stress✨

He’d winked at her last night after they’d
finalized details with the caterer and she’d had to chug an
entire glass of ice water to keep herself from dissolving.
If he’d winked at her a few weeks ago, she’d have probably
tossed the water in his face.

And after the day he’d had today, a moment like that,
unburdened and wildly unexpected, was a gift. He’d needed a
reason to laugh, and watching Neil’s little sister go into fullon panic-and-hide mode had done the trick.
But then the woman had gone and fallen off his boat. In
the middle of a storm, no less.
