Hooly shit. Sontag writes so forcefully and clearly! Half the time it's not even like she's convincing me, she's just explaining in precise words how I've felt about photography as an art form, then taking that basic feeling to its endpoint It's cutting — not quite bitter, but sharply targeted in its takedowns of genres, philosophies, individual photographers... so much to chew on already!
