Okay I’m only on page one but I really want to say that I hate how, when presenting his talk about marine disease, the author felt like he had to justify its significance by mentioning the economic impact this has on society. It’s this implication that the environment is only important to extent that it supports humanity, rather than the fact that we should be preserving biodiversity for its own sake D:
