I’m just popping in to say that Hope’s personal life is easily the least interesting thing about this book (and the previous book as well). She’s as bland as tepid tap water.
That’s a shame because everything happening around her is quite entertaining.

I really don’t care to read about Hope’s tickle fights with her permanently teenage friend that lives in her head, or her useless normal friends, or her society upbringing, or “the parentsls”.
I wish the book just focused on the hero stuff. It’s way more interesting than anything in Hope’s personal life.
