This is a fascinating book, written by a royal from Hawaii who later became King Kamehameha IV. The book is a journal of his travels from Hawaii to the east and west coast of America, England, and France. The prince was 15 years old when his journey began, and the journey covers the year it took to travel abroad and then back to Hawaii.
