I thought the first book was meh, but I realize it was trying to establish the setting. There is a lot to try to wrap your head around in this expanded universe when you are first jumping in. This book has a lot more momentum and it is drawing me in more. I genuinely didn't want to put it down last night at midnight, but forced myself to stop lest I be a zombie at work today, lol.
