I would call the 1979 and 1984-1989 wars in which Vietnam defended against China the “Forgotten Wars”. Compared with Anti French and US War of Resistance, very few people in Vietnam have knowledge about them. In Vietnamese history textbook, I remember that there are just 4-5 sentences about these wars. My memories about these wars are blur or even nothing.
