I will say I am having fun when the mystery is the focus I just really don't like the romance. The romance is just "I can excuse reanimating stolen corpse pieces in an unnatural and unethical experiment but i draw the line at potential adultery"

Wait, if Victor wrote and published a whole essay rejecting the concept of marriage, even if now he is deciding to get married for love, why on earth does he care if William marries Angelika after they bone. Like this is a major reason they can't get together right now in the book, but it doesn't make any sense
