i was very hesitant to read this book because it’s a book loved by many, and i didn’t want to be the one to dislike it. however, i can’t believe i didn’t read this book sooner.

coincidentally, i was gifted both books, free food for millionaires and pachinko, by two of my friends. i am so glad i was gifted the books because i don’t think i would’ve picked up pachinko out of fear of being disappointed.
