There are no longer any books of significance besides The Aurora's Pale Light. I've never been this excited about a series.

Political commentary in this book is more powerful (and palatable) for its subtlety. Given the plot, the author would have to work hard to avoid the issues anyway, and he's elegant in how he handles them head-on

This book is increasingly hard to put down and still full of fun surprises.

You know it's a good book when the progress indicator at the bottom seems to jump every time you look down.

The big reveal is as much fun as you hope it will be.

Roberts' Rules for Time Machines.

I just realized how much you have to be a computer nerd to enjoy this, but it's solid stuff in any case. Hell of a first novel.
