Did a lot of reading today but not as much as I wanted. There is such tragedy that’s really sad to read, but also a lot of happy endings. I’m loving this latest section about the lifesavers. I wish there was so much more information on them, but I’m eating up what there is. My favorite part.

Finally done, it got dragged out the last 2 days and I had trouble concentrating and was hurrying to get through. It got monotonous with shipwreck after shipwreck and lengths and tonnage and dates and everything. It was a LOT of shipwrecks. Glad to have read. It was a good read, a lot of tragedy and that was so sad to read about, but a lot of good mixed in too.

The lifesavers are amazing, so many daring rescues! I never want them to stop. The WWI bit was really interesting, some major tragedies mentioned that were so sad, but on the whole just fascinating how the subs operated and learning about that time. He definitely saved the best for last. And the Mirlo was included! So cool!

Some amazing lifesaving information, truly inspirational! I want more, more, more! I wish this was all about lifesavers. Just want to devour all that information. Hope it stays on them the rest of the book. I don’t want to go back to regular stories.

6/26 There are some really inspiring heroes and cool stories. But also such tragedies that’s really sad to read about. I really like the ones where everyone survived. There are also cool bits of history shared and I wish there was a lot more of that to set the scene.

Some interesting tidbits, but it’s really sad reading about the tragic deaths. I always love when people survive the wreck. I wish there was more bits of history and ways of life and less like a laundry list of ships.
