Although I could barely put it down, this book upset me on a really visceral level-- it bears so much resemblance to the sci-fi/dystopian novels and tv shows I enjoy, but the fact that everything actually happened changes the entire reading experience. I don't want to give up on it just because it's "upsetting"-- that seems so simplistic; of course it's upsetting. But I may have to put it down for a while.
