Wow. This was beautiful. A woefully human story filled with outpourings of sincerity and vulnerability.
This book conveys the pain of generational trauma—particularly, the trauma of a Vietnamese family impacted by the war—in a way that somehow exudes both beauty and grace.
The story was chilling, as it was so real. Despite my own heritage, I find myself relating to much of this. I will read this again.

Wow. Some powerful stuff in here. Each poem dripping with meaning. Oozing vulnerability. Telling a story that feels deeply personal. It hits hard. It hits beautifully.
