Goethe in his mid 30's was so fascinated by nature that he spent most of the time doing science. He was very fond of trying to establish a link between humans the the animal kingdom observing that we did not have major differences. I think that the term evolution was still not known to him but he might have contributed to its finding.

Goethe was very sensible to every object that crossed his way. All moved him very much hence he had so much to share.

So little old Goethe went to University to study Law just like his father.
He sucked at it.
I like how there is a section that talks about experience and the emphasis on this point.
Only if we experience it will we know the truth.

Looking foward to learn more about Goethe, his friendship with Alexander von Humboldt and his enthusiasm about nature that inspired so much of his work.
