The language has gotten better. While there are still occasions where the translator slips in an "F-Bomb," those occasions are nowhere near the first ten pages. As for the story itself, I am finding myself drawn into the primary narrative, though the framing of the narrative within a narrative is more distracting in this book than insightful or moving.

The major issue I am having right now is really an issue with the translator--there is simply too much foul language. If this were not a required text to read, I would have already stopped reading on account of it.
