I relate to Sorrel's story as a mother. Each turn and detail is so vivid and honest I feel I am right there with her. One faulty bushing in the hot water heater, an impromtu visit, a tub toy, a few minutes out of sight, 150 F H2O, a line of hospital errors, and then Josie is gone. I love the part that Sorrel admits there is a God. Soon after Josie's ashes are buried her beloved dog dies.
