Have not really wanted to read lately. My mind is too full.

Really enjoying these - Roya may end up on my (very short list so far) of fav poets, along with Joy Harjo and Yung Pueblo

The breadth of topics in this book - from blackness to family to mental health. Damn.

This is hard-hitting stuff. Damn. I picked this for Pride month, but I maybe should have read for Black History (or at the latest, Juneteenth). OH WELL better to read than to let sit collecting dust.

Just looked up the stories on Emily B (Fabolous' partner) and Tonie Wells - tragedies that aren't as flashy as the Titanic sub or as pretty and white as Gabby Petito, so let's just ignore black women and domestic abuse.
