Catch Tilly's "A Good Man" - humorous. Matthew Edwards' "The Scape Goat" & "One Night in Barbados" - okay. David Harris' "Vodyanoy's Tale" - thought-provoking. Caz Williams' "Rock Climbing" - introspective. Mark Worthing's "The Account of Balthasar Von Hoffman - very German. Caz Williams' "The Life is in the Blood" - good but baffling. Sue Jeffrey's "Jocelyn" - good. Ben Morton's "Dare" - surprising wow interesting.

J.A. Cooper's "The Blood of the Lamb" is an intimate short story, probably the highlight so far. Here, the author somehow spins a crazy-good yarn (in second-person perspective no less!) that's both overtly-Christian and not the least bit preachy. I was blown away. Kudos, Mr. Cooper.

Ben Morton's "Indiscretion" is an excellent short story. He borrows heavily from traditional vampire lore, but ushers in his own flavour. I can't say much more. Spoilers!

Next... Valerie Volk's poem "Apostate" presents an interesting dilemma.

D.M. Cornish's "This Body is Death" was an appropriately creepy and thought-provoking short story. A tale very much his own, but one that brought to mind other speculative authors, including: Bram Stoker, H.P. Lovecraft, C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams. I'll have to read this one again.
