Zachary had made his reason for being at my farm very clear. I wanted to be enough to stop him, but I wasn't. I breathed in the pain of that then released it into the night air. 😟😢😭

It was uncomfortable to feel protective of a woman I should feel nothing for. It also felt hypocritical. If Charlotte needed protection from anyone it was me. 😎
