I have found this book much more enjoyable than the first in the series. Firstly, it isn't written to be deliberately cryptic either in the world building or cast of characters. The first book tries to raise the suspense and plotline to unintelligible levels. This book does a much better job of world building and characterizations. I'm glad I didn't stop at book one.
