I am surprised to see the etymology of ‘Thwack’ traces this far back.

“Time, force, and death
Do to this body what extremes you can,
But the strong base and building of my love
Is as the very center of the Earth,
Drawing all things to it. I’ll go in and weep—“

I know Troilus and Cressida is marked as a tragedy, but Act 3. Scene 2 I’m still chuckling.

Also ‘I SPY’ ?!?! How far back does this game go?!

Julius Caesar was AMAZING! Not one of Shakespeare’s lyrical plays, but it excels in tragedy, and the political drama is enthralling. Historia Civilis has some awesome videos to reference for pre-play historical preparation. Marlin Brando’s portrayal of Mark Antony is incredible, check out the 1953 film adaptation. Now, I’ll be dabbling in Harold Bloom’s Invention of the Human for some literary criticism.🍻
