I’m slowly trudging through this 1,126 page book. I’ve wanted to quit so many times, but I continue on because it has such amazing reviews. It’s not bad, just not the right read for me at this time, but I know if I quit, I’ll never return to it.

It was hard for me to stick with this immensely long book during the first half. That’s because it is more of a coming-of-age book, when I was in the mood for something more dramatic, but I’m glad I stuck with it. All the backstory that I first took as meaningless rambling is all starting to come together. I still have 132 pages left to go and I’m excited to see how Owen and John’s story ends.
