Jesus this book needs editing so badly. I feel like it was translated from another language by someone who isn't actually skilled with English. I just cannot. Even. It was too jarring repeatedly having to rearrange words to make grammatical sense. Even when I had managed to turn the jumble of words into a concept seeing what words might be "synonyms" according to a thesaurus but not in the context used.
