I really wanted to like this. Really, really. But it just seemed like an entire book of background. I mean, we get it. Udo likes whoring and drinking. Is he deep down a great guy who is just misunderstood? No. Does he have some hidden power that makes him secretly fantastic? Also no. He’s just a whoring, drinking, greedy, stupid moron. For a fan of a great hero’s journey, this was a crushing disappointment.
