I really like how Fin is surrounded by evil magic that he still manages to still do good. I do wish his character develops into having more confidence in the rest of the book. — mainly because I want to see him defeat his father, or at the least come into full power.

I can’t wait until the drama between his father unfolds. Ohh… and when Lady Jenoure has to actually marry again. For now, it’s just an ongoing topic. But seriously their flirting can’t just stop lol

Aww the cat narrations. Kraken has a chapter and he is especially sarcastic! Love it 😻

Oh and the subtle romance is so cute and lighthearted. And the friendship between Fin and Eric. — At first I thought it was a little weird because of the age differences, but after learning more about Fin, you can tell their friendship is something he need.

I’m really enjoying this book! The character building. The introduction of new characters is done in a way that makes me eager to learn more about each new one. The magic system is also interesting. And I’m beginning to feel like Fin isn’t “just” a house witch. 🤔
