519 chapters (yes chapters, this book is long) in and yet we've been introduced to about 3 female characters overall, the protag, and 2 small side characters, one who's there to make the protag look good and the other who is of even smaller consequence and has only used her good looks to get ahead in class (oh and one who's a bird)
Oh and we have a woman-hating bird too

Not gonna lie, it's severely creepy the way everyone is staring and drooling because the protag is a city destroying beauty... at 13 years old.
Like make your protag a beautiful woman if u want, but having grown men drool (literally) over a 13 yr old in a way that the narrative is saying is only natural bcuz she's *that* beautiful is a bit... well

Amazing the way there's a whole bunch of side characters in this extremely long novel & yet despite it going good enough, there's not a single 'good' female character other than our protagonist who has the other male chars thinking things like:
"Being used to Shen Yanxiao’s pure man’s behavior, it was really uncomfortable whenever he saw Shen Jiayi."
So even our protag is just not like other girls. A genuine shame
