LOL, yes! I could take the wacky names if she'd made up a "fake France," but I just keep reading these names and thinking, "Woman, your name would be Marie or something."I'd use the "fake France" example of Jacqueline Carey and Terre d'Ange, but Carey actually thought her names out really well--everybody has real French names, but they're only ones from sources like the Old Testament, classical mythology, and nature, none from the New Testament, because Terre d'Ange, unlike the real France of the olde days, wasn't Christian. I was so impressed with her when I noticed! :)
