That's why I love non-fiction books. Books like "The moment of lift" by Melinda Gates, "Born a crime" by Trevor Noah and now this book- "Can't hurt me" by David Goggins serve like eye-openers to the reality of racism and patriarchy, and make readers feel the pain of those who are affected by it on daily basis.

That's why I love non-fiction books. "The truth is racism and bigotry still f***ing exist and some people are so thin-skinned they refuse to admit that."
This line shows how widespread & harmful racism can be. It's easy to be oblivious to racism and bigotry if we don't experience them ourselves. But just because we don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That's why I love non-fiction books.
