Just arrived at Part Two, and can already tell this is an absolute masterpiece even by Steinbeck standards. In sheer awe at how gorgeous the prose is, and how immaculately constructed the character and story arcs are. Such an enjoyable read 💞

Also, absolutely laughable that the beginning of the film adaptation hasn't even appeared yet despite me getting this far into the book 🙊
