I am in love with this book. I love how we understand everything Blythe feels for her daughter and husband, the things that she can't share with other people. And in understanding her, we also get to read back in time from her mother, Cecelia's childhood and her mother. Its like a reminder of what Blythe doesn't want to be for Violet, but she's scared that she will.

The heartbreak and love and frustration and every other raw emotion in this book is so powerful. I feel for Blythe so much—for her relationship with Fox and his unable to understand how she feels for Violet and how much she loves Sam.
