I've wanted to read this, please let me know how you found it. If you've read any Church Fathers before, is it similar or does is it approached from a more laical perspective?

Just finished, it was excellent! I have not read any works by the Church Fathers yet, many are on my to read list. The perspective of the text puts you in the mindset and cosmology of the ancients who originally wrote Genesis. This is a commentary and not an in-depth scholarly work fleshing out the history of the discussed symbology, which I actually would have liked. Pageau comes from the Orthodox tradition and the approach is more clerical than laical, but with with simple language.
