Communism history:
Lech Walesa led a workers strike in 1980 in Gdańsk against the Soviet Government. The whole protest became known as the Solidarity movement. In about 8 more years, Communism would come to an end. Lech Walesa would get elected as President. June 4, 1989 was the defining date when a smaller percentage of Communists would be elected to government position.

Update:
30% of Polish people are illiterate and can’t understand what they read in the news or see on TV? We need to help with this? Only 6% of the population has been to any college. Crime is a problem and mostly comes from the outside Mafia of Italy and Russia. The USA FBI has setup a headquarters in Warsaw to help with the Mafia. Krakow was spared from the damage of WW2 and has the Wawel Hill for tourism.

2000 BC , there were inhabitants. I had read their was some kind of village involved with trade in 300 AD. The Slavic tribes eventually settled on the first Piast ruler. The nation experienced a Golden Age with Casmir The Great and King Jajiello. The author alludes that Poland created it’s own downfall around 1700, by being greedy. The country was divided and taken by neighboring countries.
