"Thangamodhiram" - Again typical basheer short story, language style.
Nice litle family tale.

"Puvanpazham" - Nice Little story of Abdul Kader and how he taught his 'B.A.kaari'' mupathy to behave like a wife.

"Manushyan" - Nice little story of an incident that happened (to basheer himself I guess).
Wonderful end with a twist, reminded me of R.K.Narayan's short stories, he too used to have this nice endings to his stories.
Loved this one.

"Nilavilucham" - Basheer recollects an experience he had when he lived in a haunted house, the 'bhargavinilayam'.
Very pacy, nice little thriller of a story.
Doesn't touch politics, but touches on the struggles that he went through as a writer & also on the rising prices etc.
Must Read. Highly recommended.

"Vishwavikhyathamaya Mookku" - a humourous take on the politics in Kerela, how ridiculous it is and how the people are foolish enough to dance to the tunes of the Politician's tricks each time.
This is a nice little story of a 'mookan' who is an illiterate and knows only to cook, how he becomes overnight due to his long nose, but at the same time looses his peace of mind due to the attention it grabs. Must Read!!!

Completed reading 'Amma' - Basheer proves that he is a master story teller.
Just a cute little story of how the love & affection of a Mother towards her son or children never changes no matter how much the time changes.
And also liked the stunning climax to this short story.

Aishukutty - story of how Aishukutty almost delayed the inevitable delivery to wait for the doctor to arrive.
Nice little story.

Tiger.........nice little story about a stray dog which is a pet to the inspector much to the envy of the prisoners in the lock-up.
