I read somewhere that this is supposed to be a comedy. It is funny at certain points but I am having a hard time with the story still. Maybe I should stop reading it but I want to know if I will like it more if I push through it.

Okay, things are getting better. I appreciate the struggles Christian is going through now but I didn't at first. I think that sex scene was supposed to be read as funny but I didn't see it that way because of the awkward interaction. Awkwardness makes me feel embarrassed and I couldn't handle it. Personal issues bleeding into the story for me. Oy!

So I'm having some difficulty continuing on. There is a scene involving Christian, the shower and his fantasies about his roommate that is very confusing. And it's stopped me from reading more for now.

I just started this book a few days ago and I'm still tying to understand Christian. I feel like I'm in the middle of his stoey wondering why he chose to attend a school that makes him compromise who he is. I'm sure there is more to his background than I learned so far.
